Description :
Kiyo est une jeune fille qui vit dans le quartier de Gion, à Kyoto, où habitent encore aujourd'hui d'authentiques geisha qui vivent selon les coutumes. Fascinée par ces femmes distinguées qu'elle croise au quotidien, elle tente sa chance pour devenir maiko (apprentie geisha) mais échoue. Elle va alors se rabattre sur un poste de traiteur et cette nouvelle perspective dans sa vie pourrait bien la satisfaire tout autant, puisque ce sont les geisha du quartier qu'elle va devoir servir !
